I came to pilates late in life but now I absolutely love it.
A huge part of my enjoyment is down to the ball of energy, expertise, song and fun that is Carmel Gosbee, whose classes I go to.
She's so good that people refuse to move out of the area when their partner suggests it (true story)
She likes to say she "whips asses" in class but I find every session strangely meditative. Perhaps because the relentless focus makes you mindful and present; perhaps it's the fact that it's time out for yourself.
Whatever, it brings colour to my life
I thought I'd share a flavour of Carmel’s favourite exercise that stretches your body out and sets you up for whatever comes your way.
