I'm a printmaker & painter, often drawing inspiration from the landscape. Working from my studios in Bedfordshire, I give expression to thoughts and feelings that unearth themselves, often whilst drawing en plein air. I fill up my brain with shapes and feelings so that I can unpack them later in the studio…

My work always starts with colour. I choose colour depending on my mood….it’s rarely an intellectual decision but an intuitive one.  Often I don’t know how I’m feeling until I start working and begin by making the choice. I am repeatedly drawn to energising colours of oranges, pinks and reds…the colour I add to contrast with those will either add tension or will provide balance.
